The Best Exercise to Burn Fat
We all want to exercise to burn fat. So why do some people
put on weight once they begin an exercise plan?
We know that if we eat a candy bar full of calories and we
fail to burn off all that energy through hard physical
exercise, guess what? That so-called "energy" gets stored away
in our bodies as fat. Ugly, unhealthy and unwanted fat.
Fat is the way our bodies try to save spare food in case
there's ever a famine, but there aren't many famines in our
part of the world. And in the places that have famine, most of
the people there are skinny already. They don't need this,
eh?
Anyhow, I reckon those candy manufacturers should not be
allowed to call their snacks "energy bars". These candies and
sodas ought to be called "fat bars" or "fat drinks" instead.
That would be the truth of it.
If you want to exercise to burn fat and experience real
weight loss, you need to work-out hard enough to raise a decent
sweat. And you want your heart to pound fast and your breathing
to work your lungs hard.
When you do this, its known as a cardio-vascular workout.
And it burns up calories - your stored fat reserves - like
gangbusters.
You need to work out for at least 30 minutes up to an hour
or more for three, four or five days each week. But only ten
minutes or so of the exercise period has to be exhausting like
that.
This is what lips your metabolism into overdrive. And,
instead of switching on the afterburners (like in a jet engine)
your body switches on the fat-burning processes.
You can join a gym, get a personal trainer or go to a
fitness bootcamp. But I think the most fun way of getting the
fat off is to go out dancing a couple of times every week, and
go for a walk on most of the other days.
Swimming is a great all round exercise as well, but lazing
around like some fat porpoise won't provide any exercise to
burn fat. So, you will need to learn to swim laps. (This only
works if you know how to swim already, okay?)
All you have to do is swim back and forth, up and down the
whole length of the pool until your half-hour exercise time is
up. Or until you have done 10, 20, 30 laps - whatever you can
handle safely.
If you're not reasonably fit already, you musn't overdo it.
Get a medical checkup and a doctor's okay before you start on
an any exercise program... especially if you plan to exercise
to burn fat.
If you haven't had any real exercise for some years and you
start to get fitter, your body is likely to put on a bit of
extra weight when you start. Do not panic. This is normal,
because you are turning fat into muscle and muscle just happens
to weigh more than fat does.
You will need a nutritionally-balanced weight-loss diet to
work hand in hand with your new exercise to burn fat program.
Then you'll lose weight, get fitter and healthier all at the
same time.
And the best exercise to burn fat? Why, it's whatever you
are comfortable doing... Just be sure and do it.
