Most people don’t understand what diets do, even though weight loss diets are so popular. Millions of men and women all over the world keep on trying different diet plans hoping to lose weight to make themselves slimmer and more attractive.
Women’s magazines (and Men’s mags too), TV shows and countless popular books have been published about dieting and weight loss. And every year new books come out promising that this new diet plan will be the one that works for you, to help with your own battle of the bulge.
Yet, people are still looking for the ultimate, the best weight loss diet. Does such a thing even exist? It makes you wonder.
The whole purpose of a weight loss diet is to burn up more calories than we eat. It’s seems so simple to lose some of our excess fat, wouldn’t you agree? We just have to go on a slimming diet for an undetermined length of time... How long should that be?

When we go off the diet, guess what comes back on again?
The fat returns. The inches creep back up again, and soon we’re back to where we started. We stand and look in the mirror once again, and see that flabby body that everyone else sees too.
This is the yo-yo dieting effect. Most of us have been there, done that... I know that I have, but I eventually got past that phase. Which brought me here to set up this site.
But it’s the yo-yo dieting - the weight which goes up and down but doesn’t stay down - which keeps the big multi-national health and diet organizations supplied with thousands of desperate customers. They’re all queuing up, dollars in hand, to sign up for the latest food plan, with or without meals included.
Everyone is hoping that this diet is going to be the one! But it’s a quest doomed to failure until you discover the truth about dieting.
It would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic.
Dieting alone is not the answer, because a slimming diet is only part of the arsenal you will need to defeat obesity.

Diets can work, but not on their own. You need to understand that there are two more major factors to this equation and they allow us to become, and to stay, trim and terrific.
